Updated: Oct 13, 2024

Emotions play: a significant role in shaping daily experiences. Whether we find joy in a funny text message or struggle with feelings of frustration, the highs and lows we encounter have a profound impact on overall well-being. Instead of trying to ignore these emotions with the hope that they will go away, or keeping busy to avoid dealing with them, it is important to recognize and acknowledge their presence. Suppressing emotions, especially negative ones, can intensify their effects and cause harm.

Jealousy, often perceived as a singular emotion, is in reality a complex amalgamation of various feelings, including fear of loss, insecurity, hurt, sadness, anxiety, self-doubt, and anger. Emotions, being a form of energy, necessitate release. Failure to do so can culminate in an accumulation of negative energy within the body and mind, manifesting in unexpected ways such as anger, frustration, or outright rage. Unaddressed anger can lead to detrimental consequences, ranging from physical violence to verbal abuse, causing inner turmoil and diminishing self-esteem. The aftermath of such expressions of anger often leaves individuals feeling regret, guilt, and a decline in self-worth, while also impacting their relationships with others.
